Project Almanac (formerly Almanac, Welcome to Yesterday and also known as Cinema One) is an upcoming American sci-fi adventure film directed by Dean Israelite and written by Jason Harry Pagan and Andrew Deutschman. Filmed in 2013 and originally planned for an early 2014 release, the release date was later moved to January 30, 2015.

Plot

The film will be presented in found footage, and the plot centers on the creation of a time machine. A group of friends discover plans to build a time machine and then build one themselves. They use the time machine initially to undo past mistakes, and eventually their goals turn towards their own gain and pleasure but soon realize that changing the past has dire consequences in the future which hurts some people along the way.

Production

Principal photography began in June 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Release

On February 5, 2014 Paramount Pictures postponed the release date from February 28, 2014 to an unknown date, Paramount will now partner on the film with MTV Films to work together on marketing of the film. On March 24, 2014 THR's Borys Kit tweeted that the film is re-titled to "Project Almanac",[7] and it will be released on January 30, 2015.
